Check out this tool for matching your face to a celebrity's face. It's not that great (had some funny matches), but a fun way to kill an afternoon.

BBC mistakes cab driver for computer expert
Posted 2006-05-16 16:53:18
Video footage of BBC cab driver being interviewed mistakenly as a compter expert. Apparently he showed up at the reception desk, and was mistaken as the expert and rushed onto set.
The look on his face when introduced as a tech magazine editor is very good - a "deer caught in the headlights" type of look.

Mamapalooza
Posted 2006-05-15 10:55:13
I played the Mamapalooza festival this weekend on Mother's Day. It was a fun festival/showcase event at the Lula Lounge.
I was there to perform with Sandi Marie and Under The Bus as well as Zoe Chilco, but managed to end up on stage for 2 other acts, Michele Mele and Ilana Waldston. There was some TV cameras there, so am curious to see if I end up on TV at all this week.

Trombone player who gets the New Years Eve gig
Posted 2006-05-12 02:19:33
An old one, but thought I'd post it anyway.
A trombone player who gets the New Years Eve gig.
At the end of the night the club owner tells him, "That was amazing, incredible, let's go ahead and book again right now for next year!"
The Trombone player says, "Cool, can I leave my horn?"

Dr. T
Posted 2006-05-03 11:19:43
I'm not making this up: NEW YORK (AP) — If Dr. Phil can dispense advice, why not Mr. T?
The TV Land network announced Tuesday that it will start I Pity the Fool, a series where the A-Team star travels across the U.S. dispensing inspiration and advice.
"The `t' stands for talking," he said in an interview. "I'm going to talk it up. It's what I've been doing all my life."
The series starts in October. He'll offer help to people struggling with personal or professional problems.
"My show ain't no Dr. Phil, with people sitting around crying," he said. "You're a fool — that's what's wrong with you. You're a fool if you don't take my advice." Source: TorontoStar.com

Playing to the Deaf
Posted 2006-05-01 08:16:56
This past Saturday night, April 29th, I was playing with The Brewski Boys at the Fox and Fiddle in the Yonge-St. Clair area.
During the first set, our singer/guitarist Steve started chuckling to himself, and eventually pointed out a large group of people using sign language.
At that point in the evening, the majority of our audience was deaf. There's a first time for everything, folks.
