How Do These Movies Make Money?

I read this morning that the top 2 movies over the weekend were Guess Who (zany 'black father meets daughter's white boyfriend' action), and Miss Congeniality 2 (not sure why the first was even made).

It surprises me that these movies are able to make so much money. Seeing a stupid movie is a good way to blow off steam, but to give millions of dollars to crap like this.

Trouble in Paradise?

There seems to be problems between the Tory and Alliance sides of the Conservative party. Some members are trying to give ridings with more members a greater say in the party's direction.

While I probably wouldn't vote for the Tories very often (if ever), it would be nice to see a return of a more central Tory party which had a better chance to win a Federal election than the Conservative party. It would also provide a greater threat to the Liberals, and hopefully hold them in check.
